1. Topics for Abstract Submission
Authors are invited to submit to paper for following topics.

I Ferulic acid & oryzanol S Others, any related with "Rice"
J Protein, peptide & amino acid    
2. Deadline for abstract submission (date of receipt):
July 31 (Thu), 2008 (12:00 noon Japan time)
⇒August 15 (Fri.), 2008 (12:00 noon Japan time)
⇒August 31(Sun.), 2008
⇒September 15 (Mon.), 2008
*Abstracts received after the deadline will not be accepted.
3. Abstract Preparation Guidelines
Please read the following guidelines carefully before preparing your abstract.
General
Abstracts will be accepted only for poster presentations.
However, some abstracts may be adopted for oral presentation by the program committee.
• Abstracts must be prepared in English.
• Please note that all abstracts must be submitted through the ONLINE ABSTRACT SUBMISSION SYSTEM. Those submitted by fax or e-mail will not be accepted.
• After submission, you may still make as many changes as you wish. However, this must be done before the given submission deadline. After this date, you may no longer edit, re-submit, add co-author, re-order author listing, etc.
Title (one paragraph)
• The title should not be exceed 25 words.
Authors (one paragraph)
• Use initials for middle name of every author.
• The name of the presenting author must appear first in the list of authors.
• Co-authors should be no more than 20.
• Use numerical superscripts to mark authors having different affiliations.
Affiliations
• List all institutions with city and country at the end.
• After the Affiliations paragraph leave one blank line.
Text
• Your abstract should contain not more than 200 words. This number does not include title, authors and affiliations.
• Structure (recommended but not required): Background / Aim - Methods - Results / Conclusion(s).
• Each section should start in a new paragraph, with leading section title in bold followed by a colon.
• Use standard abbreviations. Explain unusual abbreviations.
4. Review
• All papers will be peer reviewed by the program committee.
• Acceptance is based on condition that at least one author will register and present the paper at the symposium.
• Authors will be notified of a decision by:
September 12 (Fri), 2008: to those who submitted by August 31
or
September 26(Fri.), 2008 to those who submitted by September 15
5. Publication
Accepted abstracts will be published as the Abstracts of the Symposium, which will be distributed to the participants at the Symposium.

Abstracts of those who does not register and pay the registration fees by September19 (Fri.), 2008 will not be included in the Abstract.
6. Application for Young Investigator's Award
The Organizing Committee encourages young scientists to submit original papers for Poster Presentation.
Please select “apply for the YIA” when you submit an abstract through this web site.
Applicants must be either a young scientists or a scientific trainee under 40 years old as of July 31 August 31, 2008.
One applicant may submit one paper only.
Applicants are also requested to submit 1) a biography that includes their date of birth, 2) a list of published original articles and 3) a letter of recommendation from their supervisor, as an e-mail attachment.
The grant is JPY30,000.
